Albion Online: Give the wells a function

I love when you acctually can interact with things/buildings/objects in the enviroment and in this game I see this from time to time.

One of those are wells. I would like the wells to serve as refillstations for Albion Online Silver potions. Like when you have made a dungeon run and you are a long way in there, you stumble over a well and you refill a flask from inventory or just “summons” a potion in the well to help you get you further. There can be different types of wells like colorcoded wells, they shine with the color corresponding to what kind of well it is.
For example:

Blue / Manapotion
Red / Lifepotion
Yellow / better crafting outcome under 5 minutes from consumption
Purple / higher physical attacks
Pink / higher magical attacks
Green / higher magic/physical defence
Black / make it a AoE dmg skill to be used in tight situations, that would be kewl :D

And you can only “summon” 1 potion at a time and your inventory can only hold Cheap Albion Online Silver 1 of these, mostley to avoid the whole “potionwar” thing.

I know there is potions right now but this would make the enviroment more rich and fun.

However your point that the mounts arent really that important, or how ever you put it, Is wrong. Certain mounts move faster than others.

For example, taslan moves slowed than a bear i tamed in the main cities fields. the bear was very easy to tame while i took the time to try to tame taslan a rare mount, i got exremely lucky with the drop, the bear was faster and better. on that note the flying mounts each might have a diffrent max height, so tameing diffrent mounts is a good thing.

Movement speed is one thing yeah, but really you still end up spending 30 minutes to get from one place to another, the most really do is offer benifets as pets like taslan is great for casters, but in the grand scheme of things, in a beta especially, is to experience as much of the game has to offer as you can, paywalling and RNGing the ever loving ♥♥♥♥ outta it ruins most of it, i mean its limited time to get this mob and if most of the time i spend in the beta is trying to get every mount i probably wont due to this… i mean im all for spending a full month worth of grinding for an item in the full release, lord knows ive done to Buy Riders of Icarus Gold… but yeah there are more important things for the beta then making sure rare mounts are rare to get… like optimizing the freaking framerate.

Okay so I’ve just finished the main storyline mission at the Northern Watchtower, but I don’t know what to do next? There was no other storyline quest given to me, and I’ve not a clue what to do. Do I just grind the sidequests now?

Fairer PvP fights in the Albion Online

Because, eventho the open world pvp is a very cool idea imo, its, especially for solo pvper, very hard to do something, because there are always farmgroups.
Even with friends its hard to do some way to Buy Albion Online Silver. I dont want to say anything bad about that, its very cool to have some dangerous, group pvp or to just go with 15 people,
in the night out and challenge some groups.

But at least i want to do some fair raid pvp or even 1o1/2o2 Arena fights. It doesnt even has to be a big thing, just something you can do when you’re bored or something like that.

Until release of the game, we will be making changes that will provide more and – depending on the zone – fairer PvP fights in the open world. This will mostly be driven by our crime and reputation system in yellow and red zones, however, combined with free for all PvP areas inside of those zones such that people can freely fight over – for example – treasure chests. While this is not strict 1v1 or 2v2 PvP per se, it will likely lead to more smaller scale fights in these areas.

When it comes to more structured fights to Buy Albion Online Gold, we are looking at various ways of expanding our existing duel feature and possible also offer an arena (in the literal sense) setting where players can fight each other over silver in a tournament/competition style set up. Key here is that it should not compete with / replace open world activities.

I guess I will go back to GW2 or something else. BGs or Arenas (where you earn benefits for both) are sorely needed in this game. Currently there isn’t much pvp for those of us who have lives; meaning those of us who cannot treat this game like a part time job. Serious guilds with territories don’t want to waste their time with anyone who isn’t a seriously committed player, and some folks like solo pvp, and/or have shit to do irl. I know the OP and myself aren’t the only ones. It’s too bad; this game has a lot of potential. I don’t see why it can’t have different types of pvp for different types of players / interest.

I cannot wait for Fair PVP. If I get beat in a 1v1 or even if 2 people kill me I don’t get upset and I laugh my butt off when i kill 2 people nothing beats albion online silver farming. However I get no joy when a zerg group kills me I have 0 chance and rarely can even kill 1 of them before i die there are just too many and anyone who thinks thats fair pvp is an idiot. There should penaltys for groups that 30v1 people its just not cool or fun.

One may not have 2 Albion Online accounts

As it stands now, One may not have 2 accounts. However, this game is available cross-platform and due to its portability to Buy Albion Online Gold, you cannot dismiss the fact that multiple players could be playing from the same connection, especially public connections or connections at work. It is a mistake to make the game portable, and then say that if you detect more than one account from the same connection, then they get banned. There are many public sources people use these days.

So while I would vote no, users may only be logged into one character at a time. The fact remains that to be fair with your system, you would have to change your rules and by default that would also give users the ability to login with multiple accounts. It’s a precarious issue, invented as a result of AO Silver being so portable. You could simply say “play from home” but then that sort of defeats the portability aspect of the game. As it stands now, I have decided against promoting this game to people I work with, simply because I don’t want to get banned when I and an office-mate happen to login during lunch.

So in my opinion, your hands are tied and you have little choice but to lift restrictions on the number of accounts playable from the same IP. You can still have a rule against multi-accounting, but you will have to be diligent in being certain that this is true before a ban.

Just because something is hard or nearly impossible to enforce doesn’t mean that it should be allowed. Running multiple accounts is not the way that the game was designed to be played and should be against the ToS. I understand that people will play together with family and friends so you can’t use IP address to detect this.

Add language to the ToS that if you admit on the official Albion forums to running multiple accounts at the same time it’s considered a self-report and is a ban-able offense. You will ban far more offenders from idiots on the forum than you will through in-game reporting or other means. And the best part is, people will stop talking about it.

Forcing average players to questioning if they can play in this and that scenarios will lead to more confusion and worries to being banned (which is not a good from the user experience point of view) especially closer to release so it’s great you are tackling that now, so I’m for the allowing with reasons for the average joe scenario. Still I suggest to avoid battling mass multiaccounting but concentrate on exploits. Not sure how tech savvy you are, so eventually please ask the tech lead or the network/security people, and bring them here if they feel and shed some light on how would be possible to fight things like stealth OCR automation with host/guest VMs sandboxing (especially using Android which you can pretty much change all IDs settings) and multiple configs of best albion online silver store, without touching more complicated and more traditional memory reading, injection and packet sniffing ways, even if there, you can actually analyse what’s running in memory at least.

Albion Online: the current problem with medium armor

It is known and I did submit fixes to the gm’s regarding this @Rosalia is the guy to talk to if you want to put your 2 cents into this topic since he is heading up the effort to rework the entire game to be balanced.

My fix regarding making it a double edged sword similar to that of the Cheap Albion Online Silver helm that you could wear with all 3 armor types giving the option to have speed but lose a ton of defense. Also it needs to be carried over to heavy light and medium so that everything is balanced. If you run speed since speed in king you lose a ton of defense and DO NOT get an attack buff ALSO.

Hey thanks! glad some people agree 🙂 regarding your fix though, do you not think that movespeed is generally a bit too high at the moment anyway? in general i mean.. a good example is in knock-backs, they don’t feel very punishing against melee as the enemy can run back into range again so quickly, Maybe only losing 1 or 2 auto attacks.. I think it would be better to just remove movespeed spells completely off everything that isnt in the boots slot, or at least make more slowing abilities to go with your proposed changes?

I’d like to see move kite potential (without taking ridiculous movespeed builds) for range attackers, but at the same time more punishing crowd control from tanks to punish bad positioning to Buy Albion Online Gold. I believe it would definitely reward the players who are clever with their cooldowns (gapclosers, knock-backs,cleanses, stuns) and mechanically skilled players who can weave auto attacks between movement well.

mobility isn’t a terrible thing in game reason:

1) If you are a small group the only hope you have to face the big group is to be faster and hit and run or cause them to over extend so you can kill them because this is a numbers game.

2) as long as everyone in the game has access to speed is not broken i.e. medium armor being the only one makes it so that healers tanks etc are SOL.

3) In a balanced game all aspects of the game balance out so if you have speed at the cost of massive amounts of defense you can’t use it during fight and have to be selective when you use it exiting a fight. So those that pick the other combat skills are stronger than you with your speed, but the speed allows you to out play them. This is not the case with speed + attack speed.

That being said balancing is easy calculations and numbers games. Up till now their balancing has been done by “FEEL” rather than educated reasoning, and that is why there have been massive swings in how things work and why many weapons were over nerfed in the past. Hopefully rosalia is helping balance properly but not going to hold my breath on this one.

I understand your argument and think its a potentially good fix as it would reward wise use of spells while adding some counter-play. Although, my problem is that it doesnt deal with the issue of kiting that i brought up. Id like to see all range attackers have more kiting ability to find the best albion online silver store, i think giving everybody the access to such high move-speed will just make the problem worse, and would only work if auto attack animation speed/cast times were cut quite substantially. it may make the game way too fast paced. especially when a lot of the player base is on 100+ ping.
